During the past 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, firefighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions, 1092 come outs have been made by the emergency response units of the Ministry of Emergencies. There have been 147 emergency responses.
As a result of the undertaken measures, there have been rescued one person and saved 40 constructions.
Blackouts at the territory of Ukraine
During 22nd-23rd of November as a result of harsh weather conditions in the territory of Ukraine and triggering of electricity protection system 321 settlements were left without electricity. As a result of restoration works, the electricity supply has been renewed in nine oblasts, namely: 29 settlements Dnipropetrivsk Oblast, 3 settlements in Vinnitsa Oblast, 3 settlements in Chernivsty Oblast, 48 settlements in Poltava Oblast, 44 settlements in Kirovograd Oblast, 25 settlements in Cherkassy Oblast, 19 settlements in Donetsk Oblast, 17 sentiments in Kherson Oblast, 15 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast.
As of 0700hrs, November 24, 49 settlements remain without electricity supply, namely: 14 settlements in Kyiv Oblast, 3 settlements in Mykolaiv Oblast, 6 settlements in Chernigiv Oblast, 14 settlements in Volyn Oblast, 5 settlements in Lviv Oblast, 5 settlements in Rivne Oblast, 2 settlements in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.
The Oblenergo repairing teams are engaged in recovery works. The coordination of repairing activities is under the Main Directorates of the Ministry of Emergencies in corresponding Oblasts.
Harsh Weather Conditions
Roof damage of the educational institutions, social institutions and living houses was reported to MOE at 1547hrs, November 23, namely:
a)the roof and electric cable were damaged at the school in Matviivka Village of Zaporozhie Oblast. The resettlement of the children is not being taken. The accident is under investigation.
b)the roof was damaged at the palace of culture, school and 11 living houses in Zolochivsky District of Kharkiv Oblast.
The situation is under control of the Main Directorates of the Ministry of Emergencies in corresponding Oblasts.
Unclassified Emergencies
Lugansk Oblast
The explosion with following burning took place at the preserved shaft in Trubne Village at 0809hrs, November 23. According to preliminary information, five people could have been in the shaft that time. The accident is under investigation.
Kyiv Oblast
Three people were taken to hospital as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning in Tripilya Village of Obukhiv District. The accident occurred at 1740hrs, November 23.
The operational group from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies in Kyiv Oblast worked on the site.
Vinnitsa Oblast
The fire started at 2035hrs, November 23 in the one-floor boarding school building in Serebria Village of Mogiliv-Podilsky District. The fire destroyed 50 square meters of roof and 10 square meters of ceiling. No victims were reported. The fire was put out at 2219hrs. 78 children and 11 teachers were evacuated.
The operational group from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies in Vinnitsa Oblast worked on the site.
Summary of Emergencies
From the beginning of the year, there have been registered 273 emergencies, including 165 emergencies of industrial origin, and 108 emergencies of natural origin, in which 499 people died and 915 people have been injured.
Fires
According to available data, for the past 24hrs, there have been registered 147 fires, including 99 fires in the living areas, in which 12 people died.
Moreover, six fires took place in the business facilities and there were seven vehicle fires.
The fire destroyed 40 buildings, five vehicles and 21 tons of forage.
The estimated loss from the fires is two million 773 thousand UAH, out of which 967 thousand UAH is considered as a direct loss.
Old Munitions Disposal
Kherson Oblast
An air bomb and an artillery shell dated back to WWII were found on the Sivash Lake Shore during ground works. The site is under guard. The extraction and disposal is planned for November 24.
Altogether, for the past 24 hours, three pieces of munitions have been found in the territory of Ukraine, namely: an air bomb, an artillery shell and a grenade dated back to WWII.
Levels of Radiation in Kyiv City and Kyiv Oblast
The radiation measures are stable. They do not exceed the norms in the ground and water. The average radiation level is 0,011 mR/hr in Kyiv, 0,008 mR/hr in Kyiv Oblast (the standard level is 0,050 mR/hr) and 0,027 mR/hr in Chornobyl (the acceptable threshold is 0,080 mR/hr).
