During the past 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, firefighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions, 1693 come outs have been made by the emergency response units of the Ministry of Emergencies. There have been 168 emergency responses.
As a result of the undertaken measures, there have been rescued three people, saved 24 constructions and a vehicle. Pyrotechnic teams from the Ministry of Emergencies extracted and disposed of 134 aircraft bombs, artillery shells, 6 artillery shells, a mine and 12 grenades dated back to WWII.
Harsh Weather Conditions in the Western Part of Ukraine
The lowering of water level was registered in the Western Part of Ukraine as of 0700 hrs, July 30. The lowering of water level was also observed on mountain feeders of Dnister River and Prut River.
As the result of natural disaster, 665 settlements, 38215 living houses and 57383 hectares of agricultural land are still flooded (Lviv, Zakarpatia, Vinnitsa,Ternopil, Chernihiv and Ivano-Frankivsk Oblasts.)
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
The most affected region is Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast. 398 localities, 24251 living houses and 22556 hectares of agricultural land are still flooded. The recovery operation involves 8550 personnel, and 1989 units of power equipment.
Units from Ministry of Emergencies provide delivery of food, water, medicine and transportation of victims in the affected areas.
Owing to rescue efforts 2758 people were rescued, 6105 other were evacuated and 13703 were moved out. 2880 personnel and 592 vehicles are being involved in a search-and-rescue operation.
On decree of President of Ukraine from 27th of July, N 678/2008 "About urgent measures to overcome consequences of natural disaster on 23-27 July 2008" MOE elaborated complex plan for overcoming and minimization of emergency consequences. The registration log on affected settlements and people has been established and is being apdated.

Unclassified Emergencies
Zaporizka Oblast
The blast of unidentified origin occurred next to an entrance of the five floor living building located at 29 Voronina str, Zaporozia City, on July 30, 0359hrs. The blast destroyed 19 windows in apartments. No victims. The Low Enforcement Agency investigates the case.
The operational group from the Main Directorate of Ministry of Emergencies worked on the site.
De-energization in the western part of Ukraine
Due to severe weather conditions (strong rains and wind gusts of 20 m/sec.) and transmission line protection system triggering, 28 settlements in five oblasts have remained cut of electricity supply, namely: 13 settlements in Chernivtsy Oblast, 6 settlements in Vinnytsa Oblast, 5 settlements in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, 3 settlements in Lviv Oblast, one settlement in Tehnopil Oblast.
Oblenergo brigades are involved in recovery works.
Summary of Emergencies
From the beginning of the year, there have been registered 179 emergencies, including 121 emergencies of industrial origin, and 58 emergencies of natural origin, in which 365 people died and 424 people were injured.
Fires
According to the available data, for the past 24hrs, there have been registered 168 fires, including 84 fires in the living areas, in which three people died. Moreover, a four took place at the busyness facility and there were three vehicle fires. The fire destroyed 28 buildings, three units of power vehicles and 29 tons of forage.
The estimated loss from the fires is one million 699 thousand UAH, out of which 472,9 thousand UAH is considered as a direct loss.
Kyiv Oblast
The bottomland of Irpin River got in fire as the result of negligence by unknown person on July 29, near Irpin Town. The fire of peat took the territory of 15 hectares. 7 units of firefighting vehicles and 28 personal are being involved in firefighting operation.
The operational group from the Main Directorate of Ministry of Emergencies in Kyiv Oblast is working on the site.
Old Munitions Disposal
Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast
During July 29 the pyrotechnic team from the Main Directorate of Ministry of Emergencies in Ivano-Frankivsk extracted and disposed 133 air bombs (FAB-10), four artillery shells and eleven grenades dated back to WWII. All munitions were found at the field near Yamnitsa Village at 1628hrs, July 28.
Altogether, for the past 24hrs, there have been found 35 pieces of munitions, namely: an air bombs, 30 artillery shells, three mines and a grenade dated back to WWII.
Levels of Radiation in Kyiv City and Kyiv Oblast
The radiation measures are stable. They do not exceed the norms in the ground and water. The average radiation level is 0,014 mR/hr in Kyiv, 0,012 mR/hr in Kyiv Oblast (the standard level is 0,050mR/hr) and 0,031 mR/hr in Chornobyl (the acceptable threshold is 0,080mR/hr).
