During the past 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, firefighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions, 1742 come outs have been made by the emergency response units of the Ministry of Emergencies. There have been 298 emergency responses.
As a result of the undertaken measures, there have been rescued 12 people, saved 44 constructions and four vehicles. Pyrotechnic teams from the Ministry of Emergencies extracted and disposed of 29 artillery shells 92 mines and three grenades dated back to WWII.
Summary of Emergencies
From the beginning of the year, there have been registered 150 emergencies, including 110 emergencies of industrial origin, and 40 emergencies of natural origin, in which 317 people died and 315 people were injured.
Fires
According to available data for the past 24hrs, there have been registered 287 fires, including 138 fires in the living areas, in which eight people died.
Moreover, one fire took place in the business facility and there were seven vehicle fires.
The fire destroyed 47 buildings, six vehicles and 34 tons of forage.
The estimated losses from the fire is two million 459 thousands UAH out of which 477 UAH is considered as a direct loss.
Old Munitions Disposal
Ternopil Oblast
On July 4, the pyrotechnic team from Main Directorate of Ministry of Emergencies in Ternopil Oblast searched the territory of "Agroprodservice" Company for additional old munitions. On July 3 there were found five artillery shells. Altogether there were found and extracted 431 artillery shells. The place is secured. The survey of the territory has been planned to be continued on July 5.
Altogether, for the past 24hrs, there have been found 453 pieces of munitions, namely: 437 artillery shells, 14 mines and two grenades dated back to WWII.
Levels of Radiation in Kyiv City and Kyiv Oblast
The radiation measures are stable. They do not exceed the norms in the ground and water. The average radiation level is 0,012 mR/hr in Kyiv, 0,012 mR/hr in Kyiv Oblast (the standard level is 0,050mR/hr) and 0,032 mR/hr in Chornobyl (the acceptable threshold is 0,080mR/hr).
